Charles Street Wharf - Parramatta NSW

Charles street wharf is the terminus of the Parrammatta River ferry service. At the request of Paramatta City Council, CLOUSTON prepared detailed design development drawings for this busy ferry terminus. On this sloping site, access for all was a difficult but critical issue. The design reflected this in its sweeping and fluid geometry providing continuous ramp access to and from the wharf, with supplementary stair access. The design proposed continuous foreshore access and a commercial lease for a riverside café. The project was documented by others.
