Stuart Highway Visitor Facilities - Adelaide SA to Darwin NT
CLOUSTON Associates prepared a Visitor Facilities Strategy for the Stuart Highway - marketed as the Explorer Highway, from Adelaide to Darwin. As part of an ongoing strategy to improve the tourism potential of the Territory, the Stuart Highway visitor Facilities strategy provides orientation facilities and improved rest stops for the tourism drive market. Simple yet iconic shade structures were developed for use at all the rest stops and provide visitor information and orientation maps. CLOUSTON prepared all of the graphic material, and the concept design of the shelter structures which were documented by others and prefabricated and assembled on site.
