Across the full extent of our planning, design and management projects CLOUSTON brings an appreciation to the conservation and interpretation of the complex layers of Australia’s natural and cultural heritage. In our international work the same values are applied, backed up by local expertise. Our senior staff contribute to professional debate on heritage issues and the practice presents case studies at ICOMOS conferences.
CLOUSTON’s consultation program with Aboriginal traditional owners in Central Australia shaped the Todd and Charles Rivers Masterplan and won the Planning Institute’s Grand Award. Similar approaches imbue our work whether dealing with the natural values of World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island, or the significant cultural landscape of the Archibald Fountain’s art deco setting in Sydney’s Hyde Park.
